What we collect
- Booking details: name, email, phone/WhatsApp number, hotel, flight numbers, party size, ages of children, special requests.
- Payment status from Tap Payments (amount, currency, last four digits and result). Your full card number never reaches our servers.
- Account details if you register: email, hashed password, company name for partners, booking history.
- Messages you send us through the contact forms, WhatsApp or email.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, used for security and to keep the site working.
Why we use it
- To confirm, deliver and support your booking — including sharing your name, pickup location and phone number with the assigned driver or guide.
- To send booking confirmations, invoices, itineraries and reminders by email or WhatsApp.
- To issue refunds, handle disputes and meet our legal and accounting obligations in Qatar.
- To improve the website and our services using aggregated, non-identifying statistics.
- Marketing emails only if you opted in; every email has an unsubscribe link.
Who we share it with
- Our own drivers, guides and operations desk — only the details needed for your service.
- Tap Payments (card processing), Resend (transactional email), Neon (database and file hosting) and, where you book through them, the travel agency or hotel that made the booking.
- Authorities where required by Qatari law, for example airport access lists for meet & greet.
- We never sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Booking and invoice records are kept for 10 years to satisfy Qatari accounting rules. Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted after 24 months. Account data is kept until you ask us to close the account.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to marketing at any time by emailing info@dohatransittours.com. We respond within 30 days. If you registered an account, you can update most details yourself from your dashboard.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your currency choice and cart. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. Payment pages hosted by Tap Payments use their own cookies under their policy.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with encryption at rest. Access is limited to staff who need it for their role. If a breach ever affects your data we will tell you and the relevant authority without undue delay.
